How to Deal with the Police

2. If being pulled over by a LEO. Please pull as far off the road as you safely can. You really don't need the officer nervous from traffic.

3. Turn on inside lights. Makes them feel safer.

4. Open glove box and return hands to wheel.Wait for the officer. Do not have driver license or registration out until the officer asks for it.

5. Address an officer as: officer or by rank. If it is a state trooper, then trooper is fine. Be polite but don't over use the word, "sir".

6. If they seem to want to keep you longer than just a traffic ticket. Hand them your NORML Freedom card.

7. If the police ask to search your car. SAY NO!!. even if you don't think you have anything in it. He may threaten you with
